Job Title: Technical Lead Java Full Stack Location: Remote Experience: 10–20 Years Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $150K per annum The Maximum Salary: $170K per annum (Based On Experience) USC & GC only This is a backfill Job description: Technical Lead Java Full Stack Architect Java Full Stack Lead Technical Lead – Angular & Python Product Engineering Architecture and product engineering - 10+ years of experience in software or product engineering, including significant architecture and technical leadership responsibilities - Demonstrated ownership of architecture for a complex enterprise product or platform delivered to production - Ability to move between product context, architecture, data design, APIs and implementation detail - Experience guiding multiple engineering teams or workstreams - Strong understanding of modular architecture, service boundaries, integration patterns and evolutionary architecture - Experience making architectural changes to an existing production system Modern Angular - Recent hands-on or deeply embedded architectural experience with modern Angular and TypeScript - Strong understanding of Angular components, services, dependency injection, routing, RxJS and Reactive Forms - Experience with complex conditional validation, dynamic or schema-driven forms, and reusable component design - Understanding of Angular testing, performance, state management and maintainability - Ability to review Angular designs and code and guide senior frontend engineers credibly The current product landscape uses Angular 19.2. Experience with recent Angular versions and modern Angular architecture is important. Python and APIs - Strong experience designing and developing Python-based APIs or services - Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django or a comparable Python web framework - Understanding of Pydantic or equivalent contract-validation approaches - Experience with asynchronous execution, long-running processes and downstream API orchestration - Strong understanding of API design, error handling, idempotency, security and testing - Experience with SQL, relational databases and ORM patterns Cloud and platform engineering - Experience architecting and operating cloud-hosted applications, preferably on AWS - Understanding of containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code and CI/CD - Experience addressing security, scalability, observability, availability and operational support - Ability to collaborate effectively with DevSecOps and platform-engineering teams Production engineering - Experience supporting production releases and operational systems - Ability to describe a production issue or architectural limitations and the resulting design change - Experience with incremental migration, compatibility, testing, release planning and rollback - Strong understanding of unit, integration, contracts and end-to-end testing - Familiarity with static analysis and automated code-quality gates Leadership and communication - Ability to communicate architecture to product, clinical, engineering and management stakeholders - Experience working with distributed and global teams - Ability to provide clear and constructive technical feedback - Ability to balance delivery timelines, technical quality and longer-term product sustainability - Strong personal ownership and ability to make decisions under ambiguity Strongly Preferred Domain Experience Clinical development and study design Strong candidates will have experience with one or more of the following: - Clinical-trial or clinical-development technology - Protocol authoring or protocol digitization - Study-design systems - Study schema and arms/cohorts - Schedule of Activities - Objectives and endpoints - Eligibility criteria - Clinical-data collection or EDC systems - Clinical metadata, CRFs or edit checks - Study amendments and protocol-version management - Clinical standards such as CDISC, USDM, CDASH, SDTM or ODM Candidates should understand that study-design information is interconnected. Changes to an objective, endpoint, population, arm, visit or assessment may affect other parts of the design and must remain traceable. Validation and regulated systems Experience with the following is strongly preferred: - GxP or validation-aware product delivery - Computer System Validation - Requirements and test traceability - Audit trails and electronic records - ALCOA+ data-integrity principles - 21 CFR Part 11 or comparable electronic-record expectations - Change control, deviation management and validated-state maintenance AI and agentic systems Experience with the following is strongly preferred: - LLM-enabled enterprise products - Retrieval-Augmented Generation - LangGraph, LangChain or comparable orchestration frameworks - Vector search and knowledge graphs - Agent state, memory and human-in-the-loop workflows - Prompt and model lifecycle management - Model evaluation, observability, regression and drift monitoring - Responsible use of AI in scientific or regulated contexts Relevant Technology Landscape: Frontend: Angular 19.2, TypeScript, RxJS, Reactive Forms, modular frontend architecture, WebSockets, design systems Backend: Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, REST APIs, asynchronous services Data: Aurora PostgreSQL, Amazon S3, structured and semi-structured clinical data Cloud and platform: AWS, EKS/Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD AI engineering: LangGraph/LangSmith, RAG, vector search, prompt/model governance, Galileo/Portkey or comparable observability Engineering practices: ADRs, automated testing, contract testing, SonarQube/static analysis, observability, feature flags and incremental releases
