About the role
Software Test Automation Engineer Remote Contract All Visas are workable including OPT EAD Must have: Kotlin/Swift/Python, CI/CD, Android/iOS Seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Kotlin, Swift, Python, and CI/CD automation for Android and iOS applications. This role supports AI Edge Gallery, a key open source initiative showcasing On Device Machine Learning (ODML) capabilities, including LiteRT (TFLite), MediaPipe, and emerging GenAI technologies. You'll also establish a continuous validation loop for the Developer Device Platform (DDP) 3P interface across DDP's ARM virtual farm and physical device fleet. You'll build and maintain automation infrastructure for mobile and OSS projects, with a focus on developer experience and GitHub CI pipelines. You'll support both manual and automated testing for internal and external apps and contribute directly to OSS tools used in ML workflows. Scope: - Create and maintain Android UI, local AI inference, and iOS XCTest cases using Kotlin, Swift, and Python - Integrate testing into GitHub Actions pipelines using the DDP 3P API and CLI - Monitor continuous 3P GitHub CI/CD and Robo AI crawl runs across DDP's ARM virtual farm and physical devices - Triage test failures and crashes, reproduce issues on DDP devices, and route platform bugs vs. app regressions - Develop and scale test infrastructure for open source, on device ML tools - Collaborate with SWE teams to design and implement automation strategies - Lead QA planning, test harnesses, and validation for production apps and dev tools - Enhance test coverage for AI Edge Gallery, DDP, LiteRT, MediaPipe, and related OSS projects Required: - Proficiency in Kotlin (Android), Swift (iOS), and Python - Experience building and maintaining iOS automated tests in Swift (XCTest) on physical devices - Experience with Android UI instrumentation testing frameworks - Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline development - Experience testing on virtual ARM and physical device fleets, including failure triage and crash analysis - Strong grasp of developer experience and open source practices - Collaborative mindset; able to work cross functionally with engineering teams Pluses: - Experience with on device ML frameworks like LiteRT (TFLite) or MediaPipe - Experience with cloud device platforms (DDP), automated UI crawling (Robo AI), or AI failure analysis - Familiarity with Google Cloud Project (GCP) setup and CLI/API integrations - Familiarity with C++ for ML pipeline integrations - Contributions to open source testing or developer infrastructure tools - Experience building tools or apps for beginner developers - Exposure to GitHub based OSS build/test environments
