About the role
Job Title : Senior Python Backend Developer Location : Plano, Texas Onsite Hire Type : Long Term Contract JD:- Role Summary Own the end-to-end design and delivery of Python backend services, including architecture, APIs, performance, and production support. Provide technical leadership and work with a team of 5–10 engineers. Key Responsibilities - Design and build scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices in Python. - Own data modeling, SQL optimization, and system integrations. - Lead design and code reviews and establish coding and quality standards. - Drive CI/CD, automated testing, and production root cause analysis. - Mentor engineers and support estimation, planning, and release readiness. Must Have - 8+ years of hands-on experience with Python 3.x and FastAPI, Django, or Flask. - Strong SQL experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server. - Experience with async programming and Celery or similar background processing frameworks. - Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Service Bus. - Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with Docker and Kubernetes. - Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, and pytest. - Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OWASP security practices. - Experience working in Agile environments. Good to Have - PySpark, Databricks, Airflow, and Terraform. - GenAI/LLM integration experience. - Familiarity with React. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent. - 2+ years in a Senior, Lead, or Architect role. - Cloud certification preferred.
