Job Title: Python React Full Stack Developer Location: South San Francisco, CA Duration: Long-term contract U.S. citizens, Green Card Holders, H4 EAD, and GC EAD are only eligible for this role. We require candidates to be on our W2 only. Job Description: Description The Client's Research and Early Development (gRED), Early Clinical Development Informatics (ECDi) department is seeking an experienced [contact hidden] Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing tools and platforms that enable the acceleration of clinical trial development, ultimately bringing life-changing medicines to patients faster. Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable end-to-end [contact hidden] solutions - Build and maintain highly responsive and intuitive user interfaces and applications using modern JavaScript and ReactJS - Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test automation suites (unit, integration, and end-to-end) using tools such as Playwright, PyTest, and Jest to ensure high code quality and [contact hidden] reliability - Drive DevOps best practices by building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or GitLab CI) for automated testing and continuous deployment - Provision, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS) utilizing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation - Participate in the full [contact hidden] development lifecycle within an Agile environment, including system design, coding, code reviews, and architecture planning Skills: - 5+ years of [contact hidden] engineering experience focused on building and supporting scalable production web applications - Effective use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) to enhance coding efficiency, testing, and documentation - Proficiency in backend development using Python (experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django) - Proficiency in frontend development using JavaScript (ES6+) and ReactJS - Experience with AWS and modern DevOps/deployment practices (Docker, CI/CD tools, IaC) - Experience writing automated tests and working with modern testing frameworks for both front-end and back-end - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code Preferred Qualifications: - Experience building data-intensive applications that manipulate and visualize complex datasets - Hands-on experience providing operational support for production applications, including system monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure troubleshooting - Experience designing and developing robust end-to-end automated test frameworks to ensure quality and reliability across complex production web applications - Proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries and optimizing database performance (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) - Knowledge of industry data standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, GxP and HIPAA/GDPR)
