About the role
Job Title: Senior Developer Location: Remote Duration: Long-Term Contract Start: ASAP Job Description: Technical Must-Haves * Senior software developer with substantial hands-on coding experience * full-stack experience (backend-heavy is acceptable; does not need to be an equal split) * lead developer experience with responsibility for technical direction and mentoring developers * some application architect or solution architect experience * must still be actively coding and delivering software (not a dedicated architect) * strong hands-on Python development experience in enterprise applications * Vue.js preferred; React or similar modern JavaScript framework acceptable * AWS and/or GCP experience * API and microservices experience Technical Nice-to-Haves * experience with both AWS and GCP * Terraform/infrastructure as code * Kubernetes / containerization * CI/CD and DevOps experience * application modernization experience * AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) * agentic AI, MCP, LangGraph, or RAG experience Non-Technical Must-Haves * engineering judgment and decision-making * architecture ownership * technical leadership and mentoring * ability to explain technical tradeoffs * strong communication skills * customer-facing presence * ability to work independently * ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
