About the role
Role: SDE II / Software Development Engineer II Locations: Minneapolis, MN / Seattle, WA / Santa Clara, CA Work Model: Onsite Interview: 2-step virtual interview Key Requirements: - Previous Amazon software engineering experience - SDE II or comparable software engineering experience - 3+ years of hands-on Java development - Strong backend application/service development - Experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, or event-driven applications - Strong system design and architecture fundamentals - Experience developing and modifying production code - End-to-end ownership from requirements through production delivery - Experience with application/service metrics, monitoring, logging, performance, or operational dashboards - Experience troubleshooting and improving existing production codebases - Experience mentoring junior engineers - Exposure to AI-assisted or AI-related software development is a plus The team works on large-scale automation systems supporting warehouse operations, with systems processing very high volumes of events.
