About the role
Job Title: Python Software Engineer Duration: 6 Months Location: Marana, Arizona (Onsite) (local or able to relocate) Interview: Virtual Note: Candidate must be on PV W2. Summary: We are seeking a motivated Software Developer with a focus on imaging technology to join our team. This role is critical to advancing our production capabilities through image-based analysis and automation system integration. Key Responsibilities Develop and deploy image analysis solutions to support greenhouse production workflows Apply classical computer vision and deep learning techniques to extract meaningful data from images Integrate imaging systems with automation and control systems (e.g., sensors, actuators, machine interfaces) Design and maintain pipelines to transmit image data and derived insights across enterprise networks Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, infrastructure, and operations Required Qualifications BS or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (ABET-accredited preferred) 4+ years of professional software development experience Strong Python development skills, particularly for image processing and analysis Experience with computer vision and machine learning frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, YOLO, TensorFlow, PyTorch) Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies Frontend development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React) Linux environment experience Experience interfacing with I/O devices for automation or machine control Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a prototyping or R&D environment Exposure to industrial automation systems or equipment Hands-on experience with deep learning/CNN-based image models Networking and firewall configuration experience
