About the role

Job: Gen AI Audio & Speech Data Annotator Job Type: Part-Time, Freelance Location: Remote Hours: 25–28 hours per week Education: Bachelor's degree preferred Job Overview We are looking for Audio & Speech Data Annotators to support Generative AI and speech technology projects. This is a remote, part-time freelance opportunity for candidates with a background in Audio, Speech, Linguistics, Voice, Transcription, Language, NLP, or related fields. In this role, you will work with audio and speech data to help train, improve, and evaluate AI models. You will review audio recordings, identify speech-related information, label data, and follow project guidelines to maintain high accuracy. Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze audio and speech recordings. - Annotate and label audio data according to project guidelines. - Identify speech, language, pronunciation, and audio characteristics. - Transcribe spoken audio into written text when required. - Check transcripts for accuracy and correct errors. - Evaluate AI-generated speech and audio outputs. - Identify issues with speech quality, clarity, pronunciation, or relevance. - Classify audio and speech data into predefined categories. - Compare audio or speech outputs and identify similarities and differences. - Perform quality checks on annotated audio datasets. - Follow detailed instructions and maintain high accuracy. - Support data collection and preparation for AI model training and evaluation. - Perform other audio/speech annotation tasks based on project requirements. Preferred Background Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred: - Audio and Speech - Speech Annotation - Audio Annotation - Speech Recognition - Voice Technology - Transcription - Linguistics - Phonetics / Phonology - Natural Language Processing (NLP) - Language Data - AI/ML Data Annotation - Generative AI / LLM Evaluation - Voice or Conversational AI - Audio Quality Testing - Language or Translation QA Requirements - Bachelor's degree preferred. - Audio or Speech-related background/experience required. - Strong attention to detail. - Good listening and analytical skills. - Ability to accurately follow detailed guidelines. - Comfortable working with digital audio and data annotation tools. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment. - Availability to work 25–28 hours per week.
